Education

Leigh Noffsinger graduated with honors from the University of Washington School of Law and was admitted to the Washington Bar in 2000. Prior to starting her collaborative divorce practice, she worked as a staff attorney to Federal District Court Judge Wm. Fremming Nielsen. Subsequently, while parenting her son, she did some contract litigation work but primarily focused her law practice on pro bono projects. In 2009, she received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the King County Bar Association’s Family Law Mentor Program.

She has completed intensive training in mediation and collaborative family law, and is a member of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, the Kitsap Collaborative Law Alliance, the King County Collaborative Law group, and the King County Bar Association’s Collaborative Law Section.

Relevant Experience

My law practice focuses solely on collaborative divorce. I offer free initial consultations to provide information about collaborative law and the other options for divorcing couples. Once retained, I can provide a wide range of services, including initial counseling, advocacy through the collaborative process, preparation of all necessary paperwork and filings to finalize a dissolution, and consultation regarding post-divorce modifications. I also can give referrals to other collaborative lawyers to represent your spouse, to lawyers who focus on litigation, and to other professionals who can support divorcing couples’ needs.
