Notice of Privacy Practices

Our Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is very important to us. This notice explains our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we’ve made it available on our homepage and at every point where we request personally identifiable information.

The Information We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on collaborativekitsap.org. On some pages, you can register for trainings or request information. The types of personal information collected at these pages are:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Credit/Debit Card Information

How We Use Personal Information

We use the information you provide during a transaction only to complete that transaction. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete the transaction.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. We occasionally send emails to our existing customers regarding additional trainings or services that may be of interest to you, however, you have the option to decline the use of your contact information for this purpose.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with our funding sources. For example, we may tell a donor that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women attended our trainings, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Finally, we never use or share personally identifiable information in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We work to secure your personal information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software. SSL encrypted pages are identifiable by “https” URLs and a padlock which appears in the bottom right hand corner of the browser status bar. Clicking on the padlock will allow you to view details of our SSL certificate.

Our Commitment To Children’s Privacy

We do not intentionally market to or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. In the event that we receive personal information from a child whom we know to be under 13, we will only use that information to respond directly to that child or seek parental consent. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
